Meet the Dedicated Team Driving GCAD’s Compost Production Operations

Green Compost in Agriculture for Development (GCAD) continues to strengthen sustainable agriculture in Sierra Leone through the dedication and commitment of its hardworking team.

On Saturday, 28 February, the GCAD operations team undertook another productive day of compost production activities, demonstrating the organization’s ongoing commitment to sustainable waste management and regenerative agriculture.

Behind every bag of nutrient-rich GCAD Premium Compost Fertilizer is a team of dedicated professionals working tirelessly to transform organic waste into a valuable agricultural resource. From collecting and sorting organic waste to shredding, processing, and producing high-quality compost, every stage of the production process is carefully managed to ensure farmers receive affordable, environmentally friendly fertilizer.

As part of the day’s operations, the team focused on shredding large volumes of organic waste, converting materials that would otherwise be discarded into valuable compost that restores soil health, improves crop productivity, and promotes climate-smart agriculture.

GCAD believes that waste is not simply something to discard—it is a valuable resource when managed sustainably. Through the commitment of its operations team, the organization continues to build healthier soils, support farming communities, and contribute to a greener and more sustainable Sierra Leone.

GCAD extends its appreciation to every team member whose hard work and dedication continue to drive the organization’s mission of transforming waste into opportunity and creating lasting impact for communities across the country.
