At GCAD, we believe that sustainable agricultural development begins with empowered and knowledgeable farmers. Through our Farmers Training and Empowerment Programme, we provide practical skills, technical knowledge, and hands-on support that enable farmers to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices and improve their livelihoods.

Our training programmes focus on soil health management, organic compost application, biochar utilization, sustainable crop production, environmental conservation, agribusiness development, and modern farming techniques. We work closely with smallholder farmers, youth groups, women farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural entrepreneurs to strengthen their capacity and increase agricultural productivity.

By combining training, mentorship, demonstration activities, and access to innovative agricultural solutions, GCAD helps farmers improve crop yields, enhance food security, increase household income, and build resilience against climate-related challenges.

Through continuous learning and community engagement, we are creating a new generation of informed farmers who can contribute to sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and economic growth across Sierra Leone.
