Green Compost in Agriculture for Development (GCAD) continues to strengthen youth empowerment and community development through active participation in the Productive Social Safety Net Youth Employment (PSSNYE) initiative.
The engagement brought together young people, community stakeholders, and development partners to promote sustainable livelihoods, environmental responsibility, and climate-smart agricultural practices.
During the program, participants were introduced to GCAD’s innovative approach to transforming organic waste into valuable products including organic compost fertilizer and biochar solutions that support sustainable farming and environmental protection.
The initiative also created opportunities for youth engagement, practical learning, entrepreneurship development, and community participation in green economic activities aimed at improving livelihoods and promoting environmental sustainability.
GCAD remains committed to empowering young people through practical agricultural innovation, environmental education, and sustainable waste-to-value solutions across Sierra Leone.
