Green Compost in Agriculture for Development (GCAD) proudly participated in the Africa Young Leaders Convergence 2026, held under the theme:
“From Potential to Power: Unlocking Youth Agency for Africa’s Transformation.”
The convergence brought together inspiring young leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across Africa to discuss the critical role of youth leadership, innovation, climate action, and sustainable development in shaping the continent’s future.
GCAD was honoured to witness the presence of the Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, during the event held on 12 May 2026 at the Bintumani Conference Centre, Freetown.
The event provided an important platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strengthening partnerships that advance youth-led solutions to Africa’s development challenges.
GCAD remains committed to empowering young people through green innovation, organic compost production, waste recycling, climate-smart agriculture, and sustainable livelihood initiatives that contribute to building a greener, more resilient, and sustainable Africa.
By participating in regional platforms such as the Africa Young Leaders Convergence, GCAD continues to expand its network, share innovative solutions, and contribute to Africa’s sustainable development agenda.
